| With a deep connection to the ocean in mind, Omega launched the "Planet Ocean" collection in 2005. This stylish collection rightfully inherits the DNA of the diver's watches that Omega has built over the years. It features scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass. The dial is made of black ceramic and includes Arabic numeral displays and a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The dial also includes a small seconds sub-dial and 60-minute and 12-hour counters for instant reading of elapsed time. The 45.5mm stainless steel case is equipped with a black ceramic bezel bonded with orange rubber using a world-first technology. The diving scale on the bezel is made of liquid metal. It also features a screw-in case back with a wave pattern and a patented expandable folding clasp on the stainless steel bracelet. It has a water resistance of 60 bar (600m/2000 feet) and includes a helium escape valve. At the heart of this timepiece is the Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 9900, which can be viewed through the transparent case back. This watch has passed eight rigorous tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) and has received Master Chronometer certification. | |
