| With a deep connection to the ocean in mind, Omega launched the "Planet Ocean" collection in 2005. This stylish collection rightfully inherits the DNA of the diver's watches that Omega has built over the years. It features scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass. The dial is made of black ceramic and includes Arabic numeral displays and a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The dial also includes a small seconds sub-dial and a 60-minute and 12-hour counter for easy reading of elapsed time. The 45.5mm stainless steel case comes with a black ceramic unidirectional diving bezel featuring a liquid metal diving scale. It also includes a screw-in case back with a wave pattern and a stainless steel bracelet with a patented expandable folding clasp. It has a water resistance of 60 bar (600m/2000 feet) and includes a helium escape valve. At the heart of this timepiece is the Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 9900, which can be viewed through the transparent case back. This watch has passed eight rigorous tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) and is certified as a Master Chronometer. | |
