Luminox ICE-SAR 1080 Series 1095 Watch Japan Official
Product Overview
Since its development request and official adoption by the U.S. Navy SEALs, Luminox has begun supplying various public agencies worldwide, including military, police, fire, and rescue services. In 2018, Luminox partnered with the Icelandic Search and Rescue team (ICE-SAR), which conducts exploration and rescue missions in Iceland, to develop models specifically designed for rescue operations. Iceland, known as the land of fire and ice, is a volcanic and glacial island where sub-zero temperatures are common, and living conditions are challenging due to avalanches, shipwrecks, storms, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. This watch is designed to support the brave ICE-SAR team operating in such harsh environments. With only 4 to 5 hours of daylight in winter, time is critical for rescue operations, making visibility in darkness extremely important. It features 15 Luminox Light Technology (LLT) tubes that provide self-illumination for up to approximately 25 years, ensuring visibility in the dark. The Super-LumiNova® SAR symbol on the dial complements this feature. The luminescent triangle, charged by natural daylight, shines brightly at night, honoring the guardians of the land of ice and fire. The new 45mm case is made from lightweight and ultra-durable CARBONOX™ material, designed to withstand harsh conditions. The textured dial adds depth and dimension, while the anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures visibility in all environments. Powered by a Swiss-made RONDA quartz movement, it delivers unwavering precision and reliability when needed. With a water resistance of 200 meters and a pulse meter scale, it is suitable for demanding underwater rescue operations. The case back is engraved with the four stages of rescue operations: "Locate," "Access," "Stabilize," and "Transport," represented by the word "LAST," serving as a constant reminder of the mission. This limited edition model pays tribute to the year 874, when the first settlers arrived in Iceland, with only 874 pieces produced worldwide. It features an eye-catching fire-red strap and outer dial ring, symbolizing both tradition and durability.
