Product Overview
Since its development request and official adoption by the U.S. Navy SEALs, Luminox has begun supplying military, police, fire, and rescue agencies worldwide. In 2018, it established a partnership with the Icelandic Search and Rescue Team (ICE-SAR), which conducts exploration and rescue missions in Iceland, to develop models specialized for rescue operations. Iceland, known as the land of fire and ice, is a volcanic and icy island nation where sub-zero temperatures are common, making it difficult to live due to avalanches, shipwrecks, storms, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. This watch is designed to support the brave team's ICE-SAR activities in extremely harsh environments. With only 4-5 hours of daylight in winter, time is critical for survival, making visibility in darkness extremely important during rescue operations. It features 15 Luminox Light Technology (LLT) tubes that self-illuminate for up to approximately 25 years, ensuring visibility in the dark. The Super-LumiNova® SAR symbol on the dial complements this. The luminescent triangle, charged by natural daylight, shines brightly at night, paying tribute to the guardians of the land of ice and fire. The new 45mm case is made from lightweight and ultra-durable CARBONOX™ material, designed to withstand harsh environments. The textured dial adds depth and dimension, while the anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass ensures visibility in all conditions. It is equipped with a Swiss-made RONDA quartz movement, providing unwavering accuracy and reliability when needed. With a water resistance of 200 meters and a pulse meter scale, it is suitable for demanding underwater rescue operations. The case back is engraved with the word "LAST," representing the four stages of rescue operations: "Locate," "Access," "Stabilize," and "Transport," serving as a constant reminder of the mission.
