Product Overview
Since its development request and official adoption by the U.S. Navy SEALs, Luminox has begun supplying military, police, fire, and rescue agencies worldwide. In 2018, a partnership was established with the Icelandic Search and Rescue Team (ICE-SAR), which is engaged in exploration and rescue missions in Iceland, leading to the development of models specifically designed for rescue operations. Iceland, known as the land of fire and ice, is a volcanic and icy island nation where sub-zero temperatures are commonplace, and challenges such as avalanches, shipwrecks, storms, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes make living difficult. This watch is designed to support the brave team’s search and rescue (ICE-SAR) activities in such harsh environments. With only 4-5 hours of daylight in winter, time is critical, making visibility in darkness extremely important for rescue operations. It features 15 Luminox Light Technology (LLT) tubes that provide self-illumination for up to approximately 25 years, ensuring visibility in the dark. The Super-LumiNova® SAR symbol on the dial complements this feature. The luminescent triangle, charged by natural daylight, glows vividly at night, paying tribute to the guardians of the land of ice and fire. The new 45mm case is made from lightweight and ultra-durable CARBONOX™ material, designed to withstand harsh conditions. The textured dial adds depth and dimension, while the anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass ensures visibility in all environments. Equipped with a Swiss-made RONDA quartz movement, it delivers unwavering precision and reliability at critical moments. With a water resistance of 200 meters and a pulse meter scale, it is suitable for demanding underwater rescue operations. The case back is engraved with the word "LAST," representing the four stages of rescue operations: "Locate," "Access," "Stabilize," and "Transport," serving as a constant reminder of the mission.
