Breitling B04 GMT 46 YB04451A1B1X1 Watch Japan Official
Product Overview
From its brave first flight to the birth of commercial aviation, Breitling's history is inextricably linked to the history of aircraft. In the 1930s, Breitling's U-Boat Aviation division made a name for itself by inventing precise cockpit clocks. Twenty years later, it introduced even more innovative flight instruments to the world, such as the Ref. 765 AVI. This watch, a pioneer of pilot watches, serves as the technical foundation for today's Super AVI. The Super AVI collection is inspired by the robust spirit of aircraft that made their mark in the early days of aviation. The Super AVI Mosquito pays tribute to such legends. During a time when aluminum and steel were in short supply, engineers involved in the development of the de Havilland Mosquito utilized wood, a material that was still abundant. The "miracle of wooden aircraft" surpassed the performance of contemporary metal planes, and it made headlines as one of the fastest aircraft produced between 1940 and 1950. Thanks to its excellent maneuverability, it was able to perform various roles, including light bomber, night fighter, transport aircraft, and photo reconnaissance plane. Designed as a true pilot's watch to withstand the rigors of the cockpit of that era, the Super AVI Mosquito features large, easily readable Arabic numerals on the dial and bezel. The robust 46 mm case has a large crown and a notched bezel, allowing pilots to recognize it by touch even while wearing gloves. The calfskin strap with stitching is inspired by the seams found in classic flight gear, while the optional stainless steel bracelet offers an elegant style choice. For pilots and travelers, the function displaying a second time zone with a 24-hour indication via the inner bezel and red-tipped GMT hand is extremely convenient. The movement of the Super AVI is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B04, boasting an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
