| The 1960s were an era of experimentation, fun, freedom, and energy. Riding motorcycles, driving sports cars, and living life to the fullest were the trends of the time. Willy Breitling sensed this change and began designing an unconventional chronograph that captured its essence. He called it the "Top Time." That spirited tradition continues today. Breitling has partnered with some of the coolest companies in the automotive industry to create Top Time designs. Around the beginning of the 1960s, Carroll Shelby, who had won at Le Mans, conceived of a machine that combined a small, lightweight British chassis with a powerful and reliable American-made small-block engine. The Cobra, which appeared in 1962, quickly became a success among sports car fans and on the race circuit. Its speed has not diminished to this day, and it continues to be deeply loved by collectors. The Top Time B21 Shelby Cobra features the classic car's colors, a perforated leather racing strap, a tachymeter scale for measuring speed, and contrasting, rounded square subdials reminiscent of vintage dashboard gauges. Inside the ceramic and titanium case ticks our proud engine: the exceptional La Joux-Perret chronograph tourbillon B21. | |
