Breitling B19 44 RB19301A1G1S1 Watch Japan Official
Product Overview
Founded in 1884, Breitling celebrates a milestone year by adding the brand's first perpetual calendar chronograph movement, Caliber B19, to its list of pioneering achievements. This new caliber has been incorporated for the first time in three anniversary limited edition models of Breitling's iconic collections (Premier, Navitimer, Chronomat). The Premier debuted in 1943 as a watch that brought chronographs from the cockpit to social settings, becoming a symbol of "flawless taste," as described by Willy Breitling, the third generation of the founding family. The Navitimer was the first pilot's watch to combine a chronograph with the brand's unique aviation slide rule. Initially developed in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Navitimer quickly gained popularity among a broader audience, including athletes, musicians, and astronauts. In 1962, it became the first Swiss-made wristwatch to travel into space. The Chronomat was born in 1983 as the official watch of the Italian aerobatic team, Frecce Tricolori. Its design became popular, leading to a wide general release the following year. The Chronomat played a crucial role in reviving the popularity of mechanical chronographs during an era dominated by quartz watches. All three iconic models are equipped with the Manufacture B19 movement, featuring a solid gold rotor adorned with engravings from the long-established Montbrillant factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Montbrillant was not just a factory; its west wing served as Breitling's workshop for over 80 years and was also the home of three generations of the Breitling family. Each model in the anniversary edition is limited to 140 pieces and comes with a high-quality wooden collection box lined with suede, capable of holding up to three watches.
