A pilot chronograph for adventurers—housing living history. On March 21, 1999, Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones achieved the first non-stop circumnavigation of the globe by balloon. The Breitling Orbiter 3, which they were aboard, landed in the Egyptian desert after 19 days, 21 hours, and 47 minutes, covering 45,633 km. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of this achievement, Breitling has announced the Aerospace B70 Orbiter. This timepiece features a vibrant orange dial matching the capsule's color, adorned with the mission logo, and is available with a titanium bracelet or black rubber strap. The case is made of titanium, boasting an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, and houses the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber B70. The SuperQuartz™ movement, which is ten times more accurate than standard quartz, includes a 1/100 second chronograph (with split time and lap time functions), countdown timer, second time zone, two alarms, and perpetual calendar. Most impressively, each watch contains a piece of the original balloon, a part of living history, visible through the open case back.
