Breitling B04 GMT 46 F4U AB04451A1C1A1 Watch Japan Official
Product Overview
From the brave first flights to the birth of commercial aviation, Breitling's history is inextricably linked to the history of aircraft. In the 1930s, Breitling's U-Boat Aviation division made a name for itself by inventing precise cockpit clocks. Two decades later, they introduced even more innovative flight instruments to the world, such as the Ref. 765 AVI. This watch, a pioneer of pilot watches, serves as the technical foundation for today's Super AVI. The Super AVI collection is inspired by the rugged spirit of aircraft that made their mark in the early days of aviation. The Super AVI Tribute to Vought F4U Corsair pays homage to such legends. The Corsair, a naval aircraft from World War II, had to perform challenging takeoffs and landings from aircraft carriers and remote airstrips. This aircraft, emphasizing speed and lift, was highly successful, becoming the first single-engine fighter to exceed 400 mph (640 km/h) and possessing excellent climb performance. The Corsair's "reverse gull-wing" design, oversized propeller, and distinctive blue fuselage color have become symbols in aviation history. As a true pilot watch, the Super AVI Tribute to Vought F4U Corsair is designed to withstand the harshness of cockpits of the time, featuring large, easy-to-read Arabic numerals on the dial and bezel. The robust 46 mm case has a large crown and a notched bezel, allowing pilots to recognize it by touch even while wearing gloves. The calfskin strap with stitching is inspired by the seams of classic flight gear, while the optional stainless steel bracelet offers an elegant style choice. For pilots and travelers, the functionality of displaying a second time zone with the inner bezel and the red-tipped GMT hand with a 24-hour indication is extremely convenient. The movement of the Super AVI is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B04, boasting an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
