In 1984, when ultra-thin quartz watches were at their peak, Breitling made a bold bet with this wonderfully balanced mechanical watch. The new Chronomat, based on the Frecce Tricolori Chronograph developed and released in 1983 in collaboration with the famous Italian Air Force aerobatic team, celebrated the style that Breitling has built over a century. At the same time, it restored the original status of mechanical chronographs within the brand, which has built its global reputation with these remarkable watches. The Chronomat features a 42 mm case and an iconic bezel with rider tabs at four positions, available in various materials from stainless steel to 18K red gold. The dial comes in a rich variety of colors. The Chronomat is complemented by a distinctive "Roulette" bracelet (metal or rubber). The Chronomat is powered by the COSC-certified chronometer Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
