From the brave first flights to the birth of commercial aviation, Breitling's history is inextricably linked to the history of aircraft. In the 1930s, Breitling's U-Boat Aviation Division made a name for itself by inventing precise cockpit clocks. Twenty years later, it introduced the Ref. 765 AVI as a wrist-mounted flight instrument. The current Classic AVI collection is inspired by the indomitable spirit of aviators who challenged the skies in the early days. The Classic AVI Chronograph 42 Yoshi Muroya Limited Edition is dedicated to Japan's leading air race pilot, Yoshihide Muroya, and his supportive fans. The deep blue dial, reminiscent of the brown color used in air racing aircraft, is complemented by black subdials. Large, easy-to-read Arabic numerals are featured on the dial and bezel, ensuring excellent visibility with a striking red chronograph second hand. The bezel of the 42 mm case is grooved to provide optimal grip, even when pilots are wearing gloves. The case back is engraved with the emblem of "Yoshi" and marked "ONE OF 50," signifying the pride of the samurai pilot embodied in this model.
