Breitling aimed to create a straightforward diver's watch by eliminating as many unnecessary features as possible, focusing on essential functions for safety underwater. This watch, reduced to its essentials, was named "Slow Motion." With clean lines, thick indices coated with luminous paint, square hands, and a dial ring that emphasizes contrast, visibility is maximized. It can be considered practical. However, it was its appearance that garnered much affection. The new Superocean incorporates the design codes of the beloved Slow Motion while adding modern features such as a ceramic inlay bezel and vibrant colored dials. The wide hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova®, making them easy to read underwater. The watch has a water resistance of 300m and is also resistant to shocks, sand, and saltwater. The bronze version uses a special alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, developing a unique patina over time that adds character to the watch. Two types of straps are available: rubber and metal bracelet. Both can be adjusted by up to 15mm with a folding clasp, making it easy to wear over rash guards or wetsuits. The scratch-resistant ceramic inlay bezel shows no signs of wear or fading. For safety, the bezel features a unidirectional rotation in most sizes, while the 46mm size has a patented locking bi-directional rotation. Above all, this watch is no longer just a diver's watch.
